Dr. JT English to Preach and Speak at Christ Church West Chester

On Sunday, January 26th, at 5:00PM, Dr. JT English will give a lecture entitled “A Generous Complementarianism,” in which he will discuss the Biblical doctrine of sex and gender, which God created in His image for our good and His glory. In light of recent complementarian conversations in the Church, what does it mean to be a generous complementarian that rightly emphasizes the shared dignity and mission between men and women while also rightly emphasizing that men and women are not interchangeable? After his exploration of this topic, Dr. English will facilitate a time of Q&A and discussion. Dr. English will also preach in the Sunday Morning Service at 10:00AM.

English is a pastor at The Village Church in Dallas, Texas, where he leads The Village Church Institute. He holds a PhD in systematic theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Deep Discipleship: How the Church Can Make Whole Disciples of Jesus, releasing in September 2020, as well as numerous articles, and can be found on twitter here. He lives in Dallas, TX, with his wife, Macy, and children, Thomas and Bailey.
