On Sunday, September 29, 2024, by Dr. Vern Poythress will give the lecture, “Biblical Typology: How the Old Testament Points to Christ, His Church, and the Consummation” at Christ Church West Chester’s Sunday Night Theology. This lecture will define what a biblical type is and teach us how we detect and interpret types in the Bible. Jesus himself teaches that the Old Testament is all about him (Luke 24:44-49), therefore, a combination of biblical principles and examples is necessary to guide you in seeing the richness of the presence of Christ in the Old Testament without reading in arbitrary meanings. A Q&A will follow the lecture. This event is free and open to all. Childcare is provided.
