It’s hard not to read an article or blog post today in Christian or secular circles that does not mention or allude to our current epidemic of loneliness. The causes and effects of loneliness in our culture are being discussed at length, and as a result,
what is noted as the solution is friendship. Unfortunately, our culture’s understanding of friendship, falls fall short of the wonderful and glorious vision of biblical friendship that Scripture gives testimony, too. How do we assess the current landscape of friendship and re-orient ourselves to the biblical story of friendship that is offered to us in Scripture? Please join us on Sunday, September 24, at 5pm as Jonathan Holmes addresses these questions during our next Sunday Night Theology lecture of 2023. His lecture will be titled “The Company We Keep: In Search of Biblical Friendship”. Jonathan Holmes is the Founder and Executive Director of Fieldstone Counseling and serves as pastor of counseling at Parkside Church in Cleveland, OH.
