On February 11, 2024, the elders of Christ Church West Chester recommended at the members’ meeting Rodney Evans for Associate Pastor of Christ Church West Chester (CCWC). Over the past year, the Lord has made it clear to the elders that Rodney (and his wife, Mary) not only have a profound love for CCWC, but also that he is uniquely qualified to step into the role of associate pastor at Christ Church. Rodney is excited about the focus of this pastorate: member care, counseling, discipleship, teaching, and meaningful leadership among both the elders and membership.
The timeline in terms of congregational action regarding Rodney’s recommendation to the role of associate pastor is:
- February 11: Recommendation of Associate Pastor of CCWC
- March 10: Church-Wide Q&A Following the Evening Service
- April 14: Congregational Vote
- May 20: Lord Willing, First Day as CCWC Associate Pastor
