Is the Bible one story? How are we to understand how the Bible, with all its different books and genres and stories, fit together? In his lecture, Alex Duke will walk us through the unified shape and story of the Bible. Like a tour guide, Alex will guide us from Genesis to Exodus to Kings to the Gospels to Acts and finally to Revelation. Showing how the diverse parts and passages of Scripture cohere together as a whole, Alex will zoom out to help us see the forest in order to strengthen our interpretation of individual trees, or passages of Scripture. What’s more, in considering the Scripture’s storyline, the aim is that we locate where we are in the storyline of Scripture so that we can learn to live faithfully and endure in our journey home.

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 5 PM, Alex Duke will give a lecture titled: “A Short Story Of Our Long Journey Home: Learning To Live As A Pilgrim In This World” at Sunday Night Theology (SNT). Following the lecture, there will be a brief Q&A. This event is free and open to all. Childcare is provided.
Additionally, Alex Duke will preach from Genesis 37-38, 45 during CCWC’s 10 AM service of corporate worship.
